The Bible We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God: true, immutable, steadfast, and unchangeable (2 Tim. 3:16, 17). God We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Three are coexistent, coeternal, and equal in divine perfection (1 Jn. 5:7).
Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matt. 1:22-23, Is. 9:6, Jn. 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Heb. 4:14-15, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, Rom. 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Tim. 6:14-15, Tit. 2:13)
Salvation We believe that Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by sincere repentance and whole-hearted acceptance of Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Rom. 6:23, Rom. 10:6-10, Eph. 2:8-9, Jn. 14:6; 1:12, Tit. 3:5, Gal. 3:26, Rom. 5:11, Jn. 1:9)
Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper We believe that being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an essential response to Jesus’ command, testifying to His lordship as Christ and King (Rom. 6:4). We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper, receiving the broken bread and the fruit of the vine with joy and faith as we partake anew of the life and triumph of Christ’s Cross (1 Cor. 11:24-26)
Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers to exalt Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to be witnesses of God’s saving grace; we expect the Spirit’s incoming to be after the same manner as that in which He came upon believers in the days of the Early Church (1 Cor. 3:17, Jn. 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:5,8, 2:4, 1 Cor. 2:12; 3:16, Eph 1:13, Gal 5:25, Eph 5:18)
Healing We believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith; He, who does not change, is still willing and able to heal the body, as well as the soul and spirit in answer to faith. (Mk. 16: 17, 18; Jas. 5:14-16)
The Second Coming of Christ We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent; the certainty of His coming and the fact that no man knows the hour of His coming prompt our evangelistic efforts; that the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, the dead in Christ shall rise, and the redeemed will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. (Matt. 24:36, 42, 44; 1 Thess. 4:16, 17)
